EGNOS Service Provision workshop

ESSP SAS (European Satellite Services Provider), as SHERPA project coordinator, formally announces the celebration of the next project Workshop regarding “EGNOS Service Provision” that will take place at GSA (European GNSS Agency) premises in Prague (Czech Republic) on the 2nd July 2013.

This is the last planned Workshop within SHERPA and the main topics to  be handled are:

  • EGNOS based operations status in Europe;
  • EGNOS service provision scheme;
  • EGNOS Implementation strategies within state’s PBN Implementation Plans;
  • Share all partners’ lessons learnt with LPV implementation related tasks in the selected scenarios;
  • Identification of difficulties and proposed solutions and way forward;

The attendees will benefit from the fact that this event has been coupled in time and place with the 2-days “EGNOS Service Provision Workshop 2013” organized by ESSP , which is planned for 3rd and 4th July 2013 at GSA Headquarters in Prague. The main topics to be addressed during this Workshop are:

  • EGNOS services status;
  • EGNOS Safety of Life (SoL) service for aviation;
  • EGNOS Open service and EDAS;
  • Summary of successful EGNOS implementation stories in European Aviation;
  • New GNSS regulation;
  • EDAS User Forum;
  • EGNOS in multimodal domains;

SHERPA is a collaborative project funded by the European Commission 7th Framework Programme through the European GNSS Agency (GSA), that proposes, aligned with ICAO and Eurocontrol recommendations, an approach in support to the implementation of APV procedures, by undertaking pre-operational actions at local Stakeholders level in a coordinated manner, and to map the implementation of EGNOS into the States PBN strategy.
