The SHERPA consortium is pleased to announce that the third SHERPA project Workshop will take place in Istanbul (Turkey) on the 13th November 2012, from approximately 9h to 17h.
This second workshop will be held in TAV (Terminal operator) at Atatürk Airport premises in Istanbul.
The main goal of this Workshop is to provide guidance to all the attendees as part of the national Stakeholder teams regarding safety aspects of LPV implementation. The main topics to present will be:
- Generic LPV safety material developed by Eurocontrol
- Hazards identification, safety objectives and risk assessment
- Lessons learnt from previous projects and specific findings of each implementation carried out until the date
- EGNOS Safety Case;
In addition, this workshop will be the perfect opportunity for States to present to the rest of the SHERPA consortium the frist scenarios where they plan to implement RNP APCH operations.
SHERPA is a collaborative project funded by the European Commission 7th Framework Programme through the European GNSS Agency (GSA), that proposes, aligned with ICAO and Eurocontrol recommendations, an approach in support to the implementation of APV procedures, by undertaking pre-operational actions at local Stakeholders level in a coordinated manner, and to map the implementation of EGNOS into the States PBN strategy.
